The first picture is of the three items my neighbor is offering. I bought the bag and one of the Stratos 80 Suitcases and am offering the other Stratos 80 here. My neighbor purchased them in Paris in the 70's, she is now elderly and is downsizing. I read extensively on how to authenticate these bags and everything checks out. I also, took this bag to the Louis Vuitton Store in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive (I live in Los Angeles). I wanted to see if I could get the torn leather cap repa...ired and to assure it's authenticity. The repair specialist said the following, "We can absolutely replace the leather edging if you wish...but I wouldn't. The beauty of this bag is its history and patina. The leather shows its use but this bag is 100% functional and the interior is pristine for a 40+ year old bag." Then I asked if it was for sure authentic. She said, "We don't authenticate or appraise bags in writing, but oh yes, this is one of ours." I am so glad I took the time to go to the store...I feel great having these pieces. Feel free to ask me any questions. I will be using my bag and displaying it in my bedroom in between trips. The zipper works great, but LV woman said to run a bar of soap or white candle along it's edge and it will run even smoother. The lock is set a 000 (factory setting) and comes with the original instructions (pictured) on how to set your own combination.
