EXQUISITE RARE EARLY 18th CENTURY FRENCH SILK & GOLD THREAD EMBROIDERY, 82 ... Click images to enlarge Description This is a truly wonderful panel - part of a larger piece - of mid to late 18th century silk embroidery, it is timeworn in places but still displays wonderfully. there is lots of silver thread and a wide range of embroidery techniques on display here.
I think it is French. It is lined with patches of green silk that are very timeworn, see photos
The condition is: timeworn in places with darns and mends, rubs, splits etc commensurate with age, see photos, but lovely colour and detail, It would look amazing framed. It measures about 22.5" by 12.75" or 57 cm by 32.5 cm. Thank you for looking.
