A very large, early and brightly impressive Princess Feather variant quilt in immaculate red and green material on white base. At 100" x 102", it is very large indeed, indicative of an early piece and meticulously quilted at 10 stitches per inch. Condition of the cloth is excellent, with no worn or deteriorated spots at all, rather unusual for a quilt of this age. There are however several light brown spots on the white background as pictured, I believe from dampness, and a slight yell...owing overall that a good cleaning could correct. Pictured on a queen size bed, it could easily fit a king, given its unusually large size. Being sold from a longtime collection of American folk art due to downsizing at retirement.
