Original Description:
Beautiful clean original Pepsi-Cola "Say Pepsi Please" double bubble advertising clock circa late 1950s or early 60s. Made by Advertising Products Inc., Cincinnati Ohio.The clock is 15'' diameter. Both of the convex glass panels are in great condition with no chips or cracks. There are no chips at all around the center hole for the hand stem.Of course the reverse painted graphics are perfect. The paint on these particular clocks was baked onto the glass in an ov...en so they never peel or craze, etc. This clock will look just as good 100 years from now as it does today.I carefully took the clock apart and have cleaned it inside and out. The motor was cleaned and lubricated and all wiring was checked out. I installed two new 15 watt incandescent bulbs. The inner "face" is held in place by four metal tabs with a piece of rubber between them and the glass. I carefully replaced all 4 rubber pads with fresh rubber of the appropriate size. The clock is ready to hang and enjoy and can be used continuously as a time piece without worry.The original cord has some wall paint on it here and there but is in excellent functional condition and not at all brittle and no damage to the rubber insulation. The metal canister shows moderate wear to the original paint but is overall in very nice condition.Rest assured that this clock will be double boxed and very well packed to ensure that it arrives safely regardless of how the package is handled during shipping.I will be listing a "double bubble" advertising lighted sign tonight and more clocks over the next several days.Please be sure to keep an eye on my other auctions.
