An attractive an attractive Meissen figurine of a Chinese Lady, holding a parrot. There are two children next to her. one holding a dish of food for the parrot, the other a parosol. The figurine is attributed to J J Kaendler & P Reinicke designed around the middle if the 18th century. This figurine was made by Meissen in the 1920's to the early 1930's. It is marked on its base with the Meissen blue crossed swords and has the impressed model number 2678 and a smaller size ...number 129= under glaze. There is also 18 hand written in red probably a painters mark. Size & Condition: About 16 cm ( 6 1/4 inches tall).The figurine is in excellent condition no chips, cracks, or crazing, the gilding is in also very good condition. Have found no signs of restoration.
