2001 Diet Coke 12 oz can movie prop from the cult classic Josie and the Pussycats starring Rachael Leigh Cook, Rosario Dawson & Tara Reid. This is from my personal collection and I’ve owned it for the past 17+ years. The props & wardrobe from this movie were auctioned off shortly after the film was released. I ended up buying several items from that auction including some wardrobe, one of Rosario’s bass guitars and this Diet Coke can. I have no idea how ma...ny of these cans were actually made for the film, but I do know they were never available to the public or sold in stores so I think it’s safe to assume that there can’t be very many of them out there. I’ve tried to do some research on it but I was unable to find much about it. There is one (included w/other props from this film) on display at the Hollywood Universal Studios but that was the only other one I could find. I’ve included a screen shot (the last pic) from the film showing one, but note the one in the pic has been opened (while mine is still full and unopened) so it’s not the exact can shown in the film. It’s in excellent condition with light handling/storage wear but no problems I can see. Cool item for the Pussycats fan, movie prop collector or Coke collectors out there.
