~ GEORGE III SILVER TEAPOT & STAND ~Description:Presented for your consideration is this beautiful George III 2 piece sterling silver teapot and footed stand set. Nicely made with a gorgeous design on both pieces. The stand is hallmarked on the bottom with "OH" in an oval (possibly for Joan Holland); a lion; a crowned leopard's head (pre-1821); the letter "L" date mark for 1786; and the head of King George III-the duty mark. The teapot is hallmarked on the bottom... with "DS RS" in a box (Possibly for Digby Scott); a lion; crowned leopard's head (pre-1821); the letter "L" date mark for 1786; and the head of King George III-the duty mark. The pattern on the two pieces varies slightly. Both are in good solid condition, free of dings or dents. Some repair soldering inside of the teapot. Measures 10" wide x 6" tall together. Weight is 1 lb 2 oz or 512 grams.
