This is gorgeous French Serves urn / vase that is artist signed, "Lucot" and it dates from the late 19th century. It is beautifully hand painted with a courting scene with a cherub / cupid on the bottom right hand side. The back shows a scenic picture with trees and a home. The raised gilding on the outer cartouche and sides is just awesome along with it bright and vibrant colors on the sides! It is beautifully garnished with bronze mo...unts. It is missing its lid and it also has a small chip on the bottom side of the top rim and the base shows a crack / hairline from one end to the other (see photos). The middle section (main body) is in excellent condition. It is a large vase, measuring about 18 1/2" high. A quality made piece that is very heavy for its size. It is a stunning piece that would make a great addition to your home decor! Thanks for looking.
