Original Description:
This nice antique one-and-one half gallon stoneware cake crock withapplied lug handles is decorated with identical cobalt floral motifs on its front and back. Its handles are highlighted with brushedcobalt and it has an Albany slip interior. It measures 6-5/8 inchestall and 10 and 10-1/4 inches in diameter respectively at its topand bottom. It is in excellent condition with a couple of smallflakes to the interior edge of its rim and some slight surface wearto its exterior. There are a ...couple of small spots on its interior bottomwhere the Albany slip is missing (see photos for largest one.). There are no cracks orother major damage to this piece. Overall this is a very nice antique stoneware cake crock. I haveseen a similar cake crock for sale that was attributed to theWingender Pottery of Haddonfield, New Jersey.
