Rare, very rare 212 pound Hay-Budden blacksmith anvil made for the Holliday Hardware Co. based out of Indianapolis, INMade in America in Brooklyn, NY - late 1800's- early 1900'sWrought iron construction - cream of the American anvil cropMarkings are hard to make out via photos, however in person I am able to verify the make of this anvil, as will you. Please see the last photo for a recorded anvil just like this one.• Weighs 212 pounds• Length from heel to horn is 28 1/2", Height is 11"..., & width of the face is 4 1/2"• 1 1/2" Hardy Hole located on the rear of the face, Pritchel hole.• 2 handling holes on the waist• Serial # as well as markings are hard to make out - I can verfiy a '2' stamped on either side of front waist handling hole, and make out 'Solid Wrought', and 'Warranted' on the side of the waist. • ALL STAMPS ARE HIGHLIGHTED IN PHOTOS• Face of the anvil has some sway near the front right edge.Edges have some normal chipping as seen in the photos• The table and horn of the anvil have some cut marks of typical use.• This 212 lb anvil for sale is a wonderful example of Hay-Budden history & is still as functional as a blacksmith anvil today as it was in the 1800's. • OWN A PIECE OF HISTORY!FREE LOCAL PICKUP AVAILABLE IN MINNEAPOLIS, MN**SHIPPING -LOWER 48 STATES ONLY - *Shipping will be via Fastenal in a custom crate made by me- The anvil will ship to your nearest Fastenal store and will be paid for at pick-up by you.
