Here is one of the originals! Very good condition vintage 26" Litespeed Mountain Bike. I'm not sure, but I think it's from 1989. Has mostly Suntour XC / XCD components. Tioga T-Bone stem. Everything looks stock except for front wheel, seatpost, and seat. Frame measures 21" from center of BB to top of seattube, and 22.25" across toptube center to center.
I think this bike (or a frame of the same era) is pictured on the current Litespeed website und...er "our story".
