Early heavy solid bronze car mascot in the form of a jesters head that was originally silver plated, some of the silver still remains but it does show a lot of wear from age and use but has left him with a very interesting patina, the mascot itself is about 4 in. high and he has been mounted on a round bronze base to display him, it can be removed should you want to, the base on the jester is six sided to fit on a radiator cap, the detail on him is the best, the only reason I can see f...or his mouth being open was to catch bugs, he is as you can see wearing a red enamel skull cap that still retains about 99% of it's original paint, I can not find anything like him in any of the mascot collections there were however a couple custom made mascots for Bugatti's and he is of the period, anyway if you collect mascots he's as fine as they get and is guaranteed to be an old one, there are no marks or numbers on him so I'm assuming he is one of a kind..my last two photos will show you what's holding him to the round base.
