This auction is for a Stanley Bogdan Model 150 Salmon Multiplier Reel. This reel is righthand wind, 3.5" in diameter, 1.375” spool width, weighs 11.5 oz., and has the 2:1 ratio multiplier, poacher’s knob, and 11-position drag lever. It comes with the original suede drawstring bag. It easily holds a 10-weight line with 175 yards of 20 lb. backing. This is an “as-new” reel. With the earlier light gold anodized rims sold through Orvis, this reel is easily dated between 1...975 and 1977 because the 150 model was introduced in 1975 with its wider spool, and the Orvis relationship ended in 1977. This reel does have the special model stamp location that all Orvis reels had on the side of the foot. This is one of Bogdan's most desirable salmon reels and is the widest and highest line capacity of all the 3.5" wide reels. It is an absolute tank and in perfect working order. I am not the original owner but I have never lined nor cast with this reel. Please check the photos of this reel and excuse any dust on the photos; there are no significant blemishes or rim rash. It does look like the previous owner may have lawn cast with this reel as there is a tiny mark on the reel foot (which can be seen in photo #8).
