Original Philadelphia Eagles NFL GAME WORN Gladiator MedalistGHH Hydra-Flo Football Helmet. Right outof the woodwork from an estate within the last 2 months... Has never been in acollection. Untouched and hasn’t beenmessed with. Very rare original earlymodel dated June 1976 on the Hydra-Flo liner. “The most notable competitive model to the original"Micro Fit" helmet was the Gladiator model "GHH" which wasintroduced in the early 1970s. The Gladiator model "GH...H" was a two-piecesystem which included a one piece, clover shaped liner pad attached to a onepiece, similar shaped, permanently sealed fluid filled cell system. The linerand cell system both attached to the helmet shell by Velcro could be easilyswitched out for fitting requirements. The Gladiator model offered the sameprotective benefits as the Riddell "Micro Fit" system without theproblems associated with Riddell's original air valve system. In the 1980sGladiator removed the heavy fluid from the cell system and changed it to an aironly system much like what Riddell had done to their original "MicroFit" helmet.” This interesting and very rare example has the productionfeatures seen in the very first GHH helmets. It has the first model Hydra-Flo liner, originally liquid-filled nowdry, and the early gray rubber bumperson the front and rear. The later modelshad Riddell bumpers. Manufactured aroundJune of 1976. Helmet and liner are ingreat condition… No cracks, heavy scrapes, or tears in the liner system. Original Philadelphia Eagles paint and wingslogo, has not been repainted. Wings arein great condition as well, with no chips or flaking. Even wear throughout typical of a game wornhelmet. No reserve as usual, so goodluck.
