Old & Stunning Rare Yellow Olive Green Gen Taylor With Canon Capt Bragg Flask

Up for sale is a rarely seen in this color and condiiton Gen Taylor Capt Bragg Olive Green with a yellow tint flask with the canon and bunch of grapes on the other side. The flask is about 7 1/4” tall and about 4 1/4” wide. There is some residue inside of bottle and a very slight hint of the contents original odor. It transports you back in time when our country was a lot simpler. It has the broken pontil as shown with a depression around it. There is a bubble on grape side of bott...le where the tail stretches into the neck. See picture four for that view. This bottle came from a farm in SC that was established in 1838. The bottom of bottle fades to a darker green toward bottom of it. The bottom of bottle has a hump in middle with glass depression but it still stands up without aide. I was told by my chemist cousin that glass is the only substance known to be both a solid and a liquid at the same time. That might account for the darker part at bottom. If you look at the bottom of old windows in pre civil war houses you will see that the bottom part of the glass is thicker than the top. I have tried to take good pictures of bottle. For some reason glass is very difficult to photograph. This is a bottle that would take a proud position in a bottle collectors collection. This bottle will be sold auction only. I’m having a hard time letting go of this jewel but have decided to pass it on to the next bottle enthusiast. Thanks for viewing the auction.
