MUSEUM QUALITY RESTORATION--VERY RARE COLLECTOR TANDEM

This tandem was imported into the USA by Bob Hansing , from Euro Asia imports, he owned Montrose Cyclery in California, he had Pogliaghi build 6 of these very unique tandems. they are the only tandems that were built with special lugs so that the tubes between the two bottom bracket shells could use TWO tubes that are in the shape of a "D" the flat sides facing each other, all the joints are lugged. The tubing set is all Columbus tandem . I completely restored this bicycle so that it is VERY ORIGINAL, the only parts not original are, the two seats, they are brand new replicas of Concor saddles brand new just as were made in the era, very hard to find, also the rims are Mavic MA-40 700c clincher, the original bike had tubular rims, non heat treated, if you want those I can supply them for you, however i don't think they would be safe. The frame is a pearl white automotive finish that matches the original, however the quality is much better than what was available in 1974. I built this bike for a friend that can not use it as he is no longer able to ride, the restoration cost was over 4000.00, but we need to sell it.
