This lot is for a complete COMAX branded AT Pentium 233 MMX system from 1996. VX Chipset motherboard, 512K cache, support for DIMM memory. Inside and out, the system is very clean, minor scratches on left side of case, no rust, fan cleanliness suggest light usage (CPU one looks new!). Overall 9/10. No faults found aside from a 32k bad block on the hard disk, about 10% of the way in. I've had this drive for years, the size never grew. The drive is quiet, no head thrashing or worn bearing sounds. I did a scandisk, defrag, and then a 24h repeated disk test - no faults found. I added a CT 4780 Soundblaster LIVE - Quite a few DOS games will play through Windows 98 with sound. RAM was increased from 32 to 48 Mb, the CDROM was replaced with one labelled 24x, but when I started installing things, I heard the unit spinning faster than what a 24x should sound like: It's actually a 40x unit - CR-593, and tests confirm the transfer speeds. I also replaced the coin cell CMOS battery. The LCD will be shipped in its original box, with driver disk and packaging material. Image is crisp, nice and bright (my cell camera doesn't do it justice in the slightest). The drivers were installed on the computer, as well as the 2gb drive loaded up to the brim with games. A brand new boxed Windows 9X keyboard and a Microsoft serial mouse (not the new PS/2 mouse - there's no PS/2 port on this machine) as well as powered speakers are included. Windows 98 SE is installed on the drive.
