You are bidding on a Commodore 64 computer (main unit only - no power supply), serial number P01980771, motherboard assembly number 250407. This is a breadbin C64 that is in excellent cosmetic condition. The case and keyboard are in excellent shape with some minor scuffs and yellowing as shown in the photos, and everything is functioning well. This machine includes a 6581R8 VIC-II chip, and has an excellent picture quality in NTSC format. The SID is an original and fully working and te...sted MOS 6581 chip.
I put a lot of time into my Commodore refurbishes, and take the following steps with each one:All socketed chips are removed, sockets treated with Deoxit cleanerCase, motherboard, and components are thoroughly cleaned Sockets installed for any previously unsocketed chips that need to be replacedFitted aluminum heat sinks applied to chips that need them - PLA, SID, and VICSID chip tested on all voices and filters - I only sell machines with original MOS SID chipsKeyboard is disassembled and cleaned, then reassembled and tested for functionalityComputer is tested using a diagnostic cartridge and full diagnostic harnessI spend a few hours playing retro games, and making sure that everything works well - I test with a 1571 floppy, an SD2IEC, and a Backbit cartridgeI love repairing and updating these computers, and you can check my feedback for examples of prior sales. I offer free shipping and returns, and am more than happy to answer questions or chat via messages or email. Note that the sale does not include a power supply - you will need to provide one. I highly recommend NOT using original Commodore power supplies, as these are prone to failure and regularly lead to frying good machines.
