Apple Macintosh SE/30 M5119 32meg Memory, 700MB HD, RECAPPED Signed Case
Item History & Price
From my personal collection. The SE/30 is in great physical shape for its age since it has been in storage for many years. Very little yellowing and only very minor use abrasions. Like most of these vintage Macs, the capacitors showed minor signs of leakage. The caps have been replaced. The monitor is clear and bright. The system has been upgraded to an Apple 700 meg hard drive with 32mb of memory installed. Comes with the Apple Bus mouse and pow...er cord as pictured. Running OS 7.5.5.Lots of programs on the hard drive as pictured.Mode 32 has been loaded on the system. Any memory configuration over 8 megs needs the 32 bit addressing extension to access the full use of the additional memory. The Mode 32 can be enabled or disabled through the control panel/memory selection as some programs only run in the 24 bit mode. The logic board has been cleaned and recapped with surface mount tantalum capacitors and this included replacing the 2 radial capacitors. The 1.44MB floppy drive has been cleaned and the mechanism has been lubed and tested. The floppy drive gear assembly was taken apart the drive gear was replaced.Pictures are of the actual item. This SE/30 has the internally signed case as pictured. There is a color blotch on the inside front of of the case that was caused by a bad battery. At the time, the motherboard was replaced as the battery acid may have damaged the board. This does not effect the system and is only visible when the case is removed. Where the case has a gray inside, this spot is mostly white and is about 2 inch square. Does not effect any of the signatures which are in the back of the case. Pictures are of the actual unit. The SE/30 originally sold for $6500 with a 40 or 80 MB hard drive and 1 to 4 MB of memory.Packaged securely for safe shipping. Handling charge for shipping insured. The unit has been set up and tested; but due to the age, it is sold AS-IS with no type of guarantee as to the life expectancy.
