Tested for over 19 hours with the Diagnostic Rev. 586220 and full diagnostic harness, without any errors. The photo says 07:08 because the clock flips after 12 hours. If you look at the counter it was up to 1157 iterations without any errors. This Commodore 64 has been cleaned, repaired, and tested. The case and keyboard are in good to excellent conditions. There are no broken case hinges or screw mounts, but I did find some minor scratches near the control ports. These were so minor th...at I missed it until I was taking photos of the computer (see photos)The keyboard was cleaned and tested, including removing the back so that all the electrical contacts could be cleaned and inspected. The serial number is P01283302. It has motherboard assembly number 250407 with 8-pin video output. It has an original MOS SID chip. This Commodore comes with a brand new PLAnkton PLA replacment. PLAnkton is arguably the best PLA replacement available today claiming 100% compatibility while also being cooler and less power hungry than the failure prone original MOS PLA. This is an upgrade in just about every possible way over the original PLA which is known to be a major failure point in these computers. The original bottom shielding is in place, but I've removed the top cardboard shield for better air flow. I have it if you want it so message me if you want it included. Also, included is a basic S-Video cable. I make the video cables myself and the S-Video cable is around 5' long. S-video output is about the best quality output you can get from these computers, but if you would prefer a Composite (RCA) cable instead, send me a message after the auction and I can swap the S-Video cable for a Composite cable at no additional charge. The auction is for the Commodore 64 and S-Video cable only, but I'm including a repaired power supply for free as a courtesy. Since the transformer and AC rails in the original PSU almost never fail, I open the PSU and bypass the failing DC voltage regulator with a new 5v buck converter connected to the diode bridge from the transformer. The buck converter is much more efficient and cooler than the old linear voltage regulator. This buck converter is rated up to 3amp max for short bursts and is stable at 1.5amp which matches the original output rating. This is the exact power supply I used during testing with no issues. I haven't had any problems with these, but you use the power supply at your own risk without any guarantee. It’s probably safer than most of the original power supplies at this point, but you can also find many quality professionally made new power supplies for sale online. If you do not want the power supply, please let me know. The auction does not include the diagnostics I only included the screen shots of them to show that I’ve used the full Diagnostic Rev. 586220 with harness and Trilogic 64 Doctor to test the computer.I will use either USPS or UPS for shipping. Since I'm listing this with free shipping I reserve the right to select whichever carrier is cheaper.
