Commodore Amiga 4000 Computer w/ Accessories - CF Adapter, Buddha IDE - Recapped
This auction is for a rare Commodore Amiga 4000 desktop. This was one of the last Amiga's ever made (I believe the 4000T was the last). I've had this for almost 3 years, and various things have been done. When it was first acquired back in 2018, it had been in storage for at least 15 years. I immediately pulled out the battery and cleaned up the very minimal leakage (please ...see pictures). I also had the mainboard and A3640 CPU card professionally recapped by someone in the Amiga community who also went through and made sure there was no other obvious damage. The original IDE HDD was removed (bracket is included but no drive) and I installed a Buddha IDE card with a CompactFlash adapter installed in the back. I also replaced the CDROM drive with the HP CD burner and installed a PAL/NTSC switch in the back. There is also a small fan that blows over the CPU heatsink. The power supply is still original, but voltages are within spec at this time. A couple issues remain. The SIMM slots are a little finicky and some don't lock which is a known issue with the plastic clips and the power switch rod is stuck to the supply with some sticky stuff that doesn't really hold well so it becomes detached easily.
It's in pretty good shape for its age with some deeper yellowing on the floppy drive and panel under it and a LED hole in the front label that had a separate drive light at one point, but that being said it would benefit from some care and restoration. A working keyboard and mouse is included, as well as the original 3.1 ROMS (it has 3.1.4 ROMS installed) and the Buddha IDE install drive (to get the drivers for the CD installed as well as a selection of Workbench versions included). I will include the 3.1.4 floppy set as well so a fresh install can be done if desired. It will be fully loaded and working with 3.1.4 and various utilities when shipped.

This A4000 is sold as tested and working, but due to the age and fragile nature of these systems is sold strictly as/is. It will be well packed and insured with a flat $50 shipping charge within the USA.
