This machine was working when pla...ced in storage approx. 20 years ago. Please note that many vintage computers have rechargeable batteries in them, which can corrode and leak in storage. That was the case with this computer when I opened it up. I removed the battery by de-soldering it from the motherboard and cleaned up the corrosion. I replaced the battery with the AmigaKit battery replacement circuit, which uses a standard CR2032 cell batteries (https://amigakit.amiga.store/product_info.php?products_id=1093). This battery just allows the computer to maintain system settings when turned off/unplugged, such as date and time, etc. It works great, however I point this out because I am a hobbyist, and an electrical engineer. I have tested the machine to the best of my ability, and there don't seem to be any other effects (ie: no other components appear to have failed).
I have tested the computer using the Workbench, word processing software, and a variety of games. The original hard drive is functioning normally, the floppy drive had no issues with any of the disks that I tested. As far as I have tested it, everything seems to work normally.
The case is in generally good shape. There are a few marks on the lid that look like they came from the stains of the rubber feet of a monitor resting on top of it. Please see the photo of the lid for reference. These marks did not come off easily with soap & water, and I did not want to use anything more abrasive that might damage the finish.
The keyboard and mouse both function normally. All keys work, and they are cosmetically very nice.

Buyer to pay actual shipping costs from Toronto, Canada. Please be aware, this is big and heavy (30+ lbs). I will package it very carefully for shipping, with lots of cushioning. Note that Canada Post only insures parcels up to a maximum of $1, 000 CDN, at an additional cost of approx. $20 CDN. Any insurance, if desired, will be an additional cost to the buyer beyond this auction amount and will have to be arranged by the buyer, I will assist. If you have concerns about this, let's discuss BEFORE you bid. Once you have won the bid your options may be limited!
Curb-side local pickup is being offered under the following conditions: Buyer to pick up the item during the hours of 5pm-8pm between Feb 1st and Feb 5th, 24 hours after payment is received. If this is not possible do not select the local pickup option.
