This Bullard Hard Boiled Aluminum Hard Hat was manufactured between Apr 1956 and Mar 1959.* It was obviously well taken care of and is a show piece. The (original) suspension liner is made of steamed linen and is very clean.
While there are a few dings and scratches in line with its age and use, the hard hat is polished and has been... tagged with several pins, labels, a commemorative medal, and the owner's name front and back.
The name on the front (E.D. FERGUSON) is painted in red enamel.
The 5 cm diameter bronze medal on the front of the hard hat is from the Chilean Mint (Casa de Moneda de Chile). It commemorates the creation of the the conglomerated Pacific Steel Company of Chile in 1950 and is engraved:
