Vintage Davis cabinet Co., Nashville, TN, two piece mahogany French arch top secretary. Secretary measures: 35 1/4" wide x 19 1/2" deep x 82" high (measured to the top of the arch). Base desk measures: 41" high. Top hutch top measures: 10 1/2" deep (measured to the top of the cornice) x 36" wide (measured at the top of the cornice). Two bottom drawers. Lockage with key slant front drop down desk top writing surface measures: 32 5/8" wide x 12 1/2" deep. x 30 1/4" high above... floor. Inside of secretary base has two drawers, one on each side, eight pigeon slots, two horizontal slots above each drawer and three vertical slots above one center horizontal slot. Top hutch top has double decorative metal mesh wood frame doors. Interior of hutch top has two adjustable 61/2" deep x 31 5/8" long wood shelves with back groves for plates. Marking on back of secretary base: 718, SEC. DESK BASE, DAVIS CABINET CO., NASHVILLE, TENN. Marking on back of secretary hutch top: 768 ANTIQUE WALNUT, 719 SEC DESKTOP, DAVIS CABINET CO. NASVILLE, TENN. Secretary is in very good original condition.
