RARE ANCIENTANCIENT BRONZE ROMAN RING SET WITH TIGERS EYE GEM STONE BEZEL c.a. 1ST - 4TH A.DThis type of ring would have been worn as a form of protection often on a string or chain around the neck. It is said that Roman soldiers wore Tiger's eye to protect them in battle, and it is still used as a protective stone. The bronze ring has thin but strong banded and stirrup shaped bezel set with a beautiful round Tigers Eye.The band is in great condition, it's a really nice strong example with excellent patina.Approximate size British J - J 1/2, USA 4 3/4.
