Open to International Bidders!! This No Reserve auction, is for a vintage 1969 Ludwig Part # 980P "Super-Classic" 3-piece drum set. Sizes are; 14" deep x 22" wide bass drum ( serial # 784878), 16" deep x 16" wide floor tom ( serial # BLANK ) 9" deep x 13" wide mounted tom ( serial # 784893 ). The inside of the 16" floor tom is date stamped: "SEP 22 1969". All of the drums are constructed out of three plies of wood ( mapl...e/poplar/maple ) and have solid maple interior glue-rings . Each drum is factory finished in gorgeous, natural maple stain on the insides.The exteriors are factory finished in Ludwig maple thermogloss lacquer. As you can see from my pictures, the original maple finish is beautifully preserved but there are numerous surface scuffs and scratches in the clear coating.There is only one modification to this drum, a Rogers "Swivomatic" mounting bracket was added to the 13" ride tom. The bracket was removed and a Rogers cover plate was installed to cover up the exposed mounting holes ( see pictures # 10 and # 11 ). The 22" bass drum is factory equipped with twenty chrome plated Ludwig "Classic" lug casings, 20 Ludwig T-rods & claws, two original Ludwig solid maple wooden bass drum hoops, two pairs of Ludwig disappearing bass drum spurs and a Ludwig "rail consolette" single tom-tom holder. The 16" floor tom is factory equipped with sixteen chrome plated Ludwig "Classic" lug casings, a Ludwig internal muffler assembly, two Ludwig triple-flanged steel hoops, 16 Ludwig tension rods, and three Ludwig floor tom leg brackets . Three original Ludwig 17" tall floor tom legs are included with this drum.The 13" mounted tom is equipped with twelve chrome plated Ludwig "Classic" lug casings, a Ludwig internal muffler assembly, 12 Ludwig tension rods, two Ludwig triple-flanged steel hoops, and a Ludwig tom mounting bracket. All of the fittings are chrome plated but there is surface pitting on all of the lug casings.. Shipping and Handling to Domestic U.S.A. adresses will cost $100.00 for this item.
