Superb JAPY FRERES Mid-19th C. Gilt Bronze Clock FRENCH EMPIRE with with stunning cherub figurines and detail. Clock is circa 1867 retailed by Bigelow, Kennard & Co. of Boston. Movement is pendulum driven, key wound with chime. Clock comes with both keys and runs strong. Will just need final fine tune timing adjustment when it makes it to its final home. Legs can be unscrewed up and down to level clock as well. This is a high quality precision movement in great shape. Only defect f...ound is back leg has a high quality replacement with different gilded appearance. This of course is not seen when clock is on shelf, mantle ect. Very heavy over 150 years old!!
