Offering this Fine Quality French Bronze Figural Mantle Clock made in the mid 19th Century. The clock measures aprox. 10 1/2" tall x 6 3/4" wide x 4" deep. The clock depicts two seated winged Cherubs on either side of the clock face, with a Classical Figure of a Women on top. The bottom and sides of the clock have recessed porcelain Sevres style inserts, that are a deep Blue in color, and contrasts Beautifully with the Gilt Bronze case. The face of the clock has raised enameled Roman n...umerals. The Detail and Design of this clock is just stunning, and is of high end quality and appearance. On the clock works written in script is Lenoir a Paris with a foundry mark I can't identify. (I have a clear photo of it) This clock has been sitting in the same estate for many years, and I'm selling it in "As Found" condition. The case is dust covered and discolored and needs a cleaning. The back of the clock does not have a cover; I don't know if it is missing or the clock was made this way. I took the clock home and started it up, and it ran good (The clock works are clean, but I would recommend having it serviced before regular use) The clock case appears to be in very good condition (other than dirty) with no damage noted. The clock is being sold in "As Is" condition, so please examine photos as part of your description before placing a bid. I have very little knowledge of clocks and tried to describe it as best I could. Overall, the clock appears to be of Fine Quality and Displays Beautifully. Thank You For Viewing My Item For Sale!
