Vintage 1970s 5 In Dia Glass Ball With Dragon Stand Appx 180 Mm Tall

This belonged to my father-in-law, a Mason, who died 20 years ago in his 80's. I can only guess it is from the 1970s. The ball looks like cast glass and has a bubble cast toward the center. There are no cracks or chips, but there are some faint casting lines in the glass that you have to look hard to find. There some tiny bubbles in the glass (look like bright specks on the red photo.) It fits perfectly on the stand, which is some plain metal (not gold or silver).... I didn't have calipers this big to measure it, but it is about 5 inches in diameter (127mm) and about 6 3/4 inches tall (maybe 175 mm or so). I put a Pepsi can in the photo to compare size.
