Offered here is a gem of an American country fiddle 4/4 Violin, in my opinion, which bears no label. It is ideal for country music, but could be used for Jazz, Blues, or Classical. It came to me with inexpensive Prelude strings on it. A better quality string would made you pace-maker do a "Skip to my Lou!" This violin has no real problems at all meaning NO CRACKS! It is ready for a "show-down with the Hoe-down!" There are the usual scuffs and scrapes to the varnish one would expe...ct from a violin this age.The wood is excellent fine grain spruce on the table (top) and choice flamed maple on the ribs, back, neck. I estimate the violin was made in or around 1930, Made In The USA!!! Violin shops in the USA might retail this violin for more than $1000. I have appraised violins for State Farm for over 45 years and this violin is really worth $1000. Now you can own it for much less. The violin is sold as is and as pictured.
