Rare CUMBERLAND Telephone & Telegraph Large Porcelain Flange Sign NOS Pre 1920.This sign was found in an old railroad depot in central Louisiana. It was never used but does have a few minor edge chips etc from over a hundred years in storage. It is a heavy large 22” x 18” porcelain flange sign made by Ingram Richardson of Beaver Falls, Pa. White area has some discoloring from age . Cobalt blue color is like day one, beautiful . I have never seen one listed for sale, truly ...a great piece.Cumberland Telephone was organized in 1884 and was later bought out by Bell South.This is one of the rarest of all telephone and telegraph signs.See pictures for description and ask questions before bidding.This sign will be well packed for a safe delivery.
