For sale is a vintage Zeiss Ikon Contaflex, 35mm film camera with a Carl Zeiss, Tessar 50mm 2.8 lens. It comes with its original leather case. This is an estate find. I have never used this camera, so it is being sold as is. It apparently has something wrong with the shutter. There is an old work slip with the camera. As I read it, the camera was sent in to diagnose a problem and an estimate for repair. "Shutter" is noted on the slip. It looks as though the repair was not made there at... that time. Not having use the camera, this is what I can say about it. The focus appears to be working just fine. The inside of the camera is clean. The film advance lever appears to work and arms the shutter release button. The aperture stays open until the film advance lever is used again. There is dust visible in th focus field and looking into the lens from the front. There is a faint musty odor from the leather case. If you're handy, you may be able to fix this camera and end up with an awesome one. Zeiss lenses are renowned. If it can't be fixed, perhaps it's a parts camera. Please spend some time with the photos. Email with any questions and I'll do my best to answer. Thanks for looking.
