Vintage 72 " X 72 " Flower Star Cutter Quilt, Feed Sack, Pieced, Hand Sewn, TN
Item History & Price
I am helping my mother clean out her basement (dry and very well organized). My parents were big collectors and have a basement full of vintage items – lots of glassware, stoneware, Pepsi, Christmas, banks, etc. Almost everything is in excellent condition. If you are looking for something specific, please message me.
We will be listing items over ...the next few months (not as fast as we would like...). I will describe them as best as I can, and I am taking lots of pictures to show you the condition.
This auction is for a vintage handmade pieced patchwork quilt, from the 1930s or 1940s. I believe the quilting is also hand sewn. It is not in perfect shape. There are some stains, some holes where the fabric has been worn through (just one layer of fabric, not holes all the way through). One half of the quilt has some brown marks - I don't know if they will come out with washing. Please note that there is also a fabric used that has brown in it. Please note the difference - see pictures. The brown dirt marks can be seen mainly in the plain white sections. Some of the pictures show light streaks, but that is just from the sunlight in the pictures. The quilt is consistent in coloring.
This is a feed sack quilt. The back of the quilt has printing from a 100 pound feed sack from Colorado Springs.
Please review the pictures. I tried to take shots that would give you a good idea of the condition.
This quilt was purchased in Dickson, TN about 10-12 years ago and stored since then in a smoke-free and pet-free home. There is no bad odor from the quilt. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like more details or pictures. I will be happy to work out any issues with the buyer.
I will work with the buyer in shipping methods.
Thank you for looking!
