This weaving has been in temperature controlled storage since it was purchased in June 1983. It was purchased in the village of Endeh in Flores, Indonesia. It has been beautifully coloured using organic dyes in rich tones of brown, red, and black. It is reluctantly being sold as part of a collection liquidation. It measures 130cm (4ft. 3 inches) long by 70cm (2ft. 3 1/2 inches) wide but effectively double that if it was unpicked as a sarong and laid flat.
