ABOUT THIS MEXICAN SHAWLCalled Santa Maria or Dos Mallas Rebozo has been handwoven by an artisan in an old fashioned loom. When completed, this world-known accessory has been handcrafted with artistic fashion, love, patience, and most important, time to acquire just the right weave, color, and beauty. This piece of art is made of artisela, or synthetic silk which feels very soft to the touch. The rebozo or shawl may also be used as a table runner, decoration such as a restaurant, offic...e, etc. The most common uses are of course for special occasions and events such as weddings, birthdays, Cinco de Mayo, Dia de Independencia, Dia de los Muertos, etc. This beautiful rebozo’s fringes have been knotted by hand and it may take an artisan from 10 to 15 days to complete.Color: RedThe photo does not do any justice due to lighting.
