Please notice that, although listed under quilts, this is just a quilt TOP: it is NOT a finished quilt or bedspread, as there is no batting or backing beneath the pieced fabrics shown in the photos.
It measures 83" by 68" across; the bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
The patchwork part of the quilt top was pieced by hand, but the orange border was sewn to the body of the quilt top by machine: please check close-up # 11 to see this detail.
The fabrics are feed sack scraps and o...thers that we believe to be scraps of fabrics used in a farm to make shirts and other wearable items; we are not sure the technical name "shirting" applies to this type of fabrics, but we are no experts, so we are putting here this clarification for those who know better than u s.
