 Incan WeavingManta, Floor Covering, Saddle BlanketThis is a vintage hand crafted Peruvian, Incan, Andes weaving in alpaca and sheep's wool. In brilliant Incan colors and patterns. Hand spun, single ply wool with vegetable dyes. Very versatile, can be used as manta, aguayo, floor covering or saddle blanket. There is no fringe. The ends have been folded and hand sewn. One side has brushed alpaca nap, the reverse is wool flat weave. I have shown closeups of both sides in photos. Thi...s is a rare one of a kind piece. Highly collectible, vintage, Peruvian Andes alpaca indigenous weaving. Wonderful for those who love fine and unique textiles.
Measures 36" by 68". Weighs 3 pounds, 1 ounce. It is lighter than a comparable Navajo rug.
