ITEM DESCRIPTIONThis listing is for a vintage hand stitched tied quilt as shown. Measures about 80 x 96. Design is a 16 patch (2... inch squares) blocks set together with 2.5 inch strips. Feed sack cottons and other vintage cottons. Floral, gingham check, paisley, Mickey Mouse and Friends, bubblegum pink solids, fruit, stripes. The binding is 1.5 inches wide on the sides and 3 inches wide on the end and was made from a feedsack, with mallard duck design. Backing is gray cotton with white polka dots. Tied with thread that reminds of the thread from feedsacks. The handstitching on the binding and the stitching together of the pieces of the backing is not topnotch stitching.Mickey Mouse and friends blocks along with the variety of other squares are nice.
