Sight: 9" x 14"Thisauction is for a vintage 1950’s Shinagawa Kyoto Hanga-In shin-hanga wood blockprint in the original bamboo frame. From artist Tomikichiro Tokuriki (1902 – 1999), the scene reflects anoodle cart at night. The sign on thecarts advertises Kitsune Udon for 20 yen a bowl.
TOMIKICHIRO TOKURIKI (1902-2000) descended fr...om along line of Kyoto artists. He studied at the Kyoto School of Arts and Craftsand soon met Hiratsuka whose influence led Tokuriki to woodblock printing.
