Original Description:
Navajo weaver Hilario Chavez wove this Navajo First Phase Chief pattern rug. It measures ~37 x 50 inches. The weaving has a weft count of ~26-28 per inch and a warp count of ~9 per inch. All weft and warp is authentic Churro sheep wool. It is woven in natural beige, dark brown, hand-dyed cochineal red, and indigo blue yarn. The perimeter is expertly finished with 3- x 2-ply blue-green cords that prevent damage and fraying of the weft lo...ops. The condition is excellent with no wear, no odors, and no structural damage. Comes with a certificate of authenticity and an image of the weaver holding the rug. Shipping by Priority Mail within the United States is $20.
