EXQUISITE ANTIQUE FRENCH EMBROIDERED SILK BURSE CHALICE COVER 19th century
This beautiful antique French burse or chalice cover dates from the late 1800s. It has its inner linen cover intact too. In rich jewel emerald silk damask it carries and applique cross that is hand embroidered in silk and gold wire threads. The edges are trimmed with hand embroidered leaves and flowers. The inner linen cover has a hand embroidered... cross and a drawn thread work cross on the reverse. All good and strong it measures 26cms x 22cms All the items in my listings, unless described otherwise, are either vintage or antique. They have all had a 'past' life, a history to tell - and this inevitably affects their condition through use and handling. I do my best to make my descriptions as accurate as possible but please do not bid if you are looking for pristine items; you will not find them in my auctions! I aim to despatch your parcel within 5 days of receiving your payment. The French postal system can be a little slow at times but is usually reliable. However I cannot be held responsible once I have deposited your parcel at the post office for any subsequent delays which occur whilst the parcel is en route to you. I will of course endeavor to help you with the tracking process to locate the status of your parcel and we are always at your service!! I am happy to combine two or more items into one package for shipping.
