Sonning Vintage Watches Just Beautiful 1966 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Gents Vintage WatchThe OverviewThis is a stunning example of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date dating from 1966. The solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The original steel pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is classically Rolex. The applied steel hour batons and steel hands provide the sof...test contrast to the dial are perfectly framed by the gleaming steel bezel. The very high-grade chronometer standard Rolex signed automatic movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. To complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new, super high quality, black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with steel Hirsch buckle.Watches of this quality and in this condition are extremely rare and highly sought after – if history is any judge they will only increase in value.As mentioned, it has just been serviced by my watchmaker and, in view of the high-grade Swiss movement, I will include a 12 month guarantee on the movement.The CaseThe solid steel case is in excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear. The case measures 35 mm across, excluding the Rolex signed crown and 41mm long including the lugs. The inside case is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland’, ‘Patented Stainless Steel’ and the case number is ‘1500’. The age reference is ‘111.66’ dating it to 1966.The DialThe original steel pearlescent dial has been professionally refinished to the highest possible standard and is classically Rolex. The applied steel hour batons and steel hands provide the softest contrast to the dial are perfectly framed by the gleaming steel bezel. The dial is signed ‘Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date’, ‘Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified’ and ‘OT Swiss TO’.The MovementThe very high grade chronometer standard Rolex signed automatic movement is again in very good condition and has just been fully serviced by our professional watchmaker. The movement is signed ‘Montres Rolex SA Geneva Swiss’, ‘Twenty Six 26 Jewels’, ‘Adjusted 5 Positions and Temperature’ and the calibre is ‘1570’. The movement number is ‘D93818’.The StrapTo complete this beautiful piece we’ve added a new, super high quality, black Hirsch ‘London’ alligator strap with steel Hirsch buckle.The Box, Papers and Sonning WarrantyAs with the majority of pre-owned watches that are 10 years or older, this particular watch does not come with its original box or paperwork.
