For your consideration, this TRUE vintage 1960s/70s handmade applique quilt in an old RARE pattern we are calling Floral Vining Bouquet -- this quilt is EXQUISITE! -- highly VISUAL, using SWEET colors of green, blue, red, yellow and many others against a creamy background -- this would be a PERFECT decor piece for the holiday season -- all nice-quality 100% cotton fabrics -- lovely scalloped edges, very narrowly binded in avocado green and backed in the same solid creamy cotton used on the front of the quilt -- very light-weight batting which feels like 100% cotton -- every single thing about this quilt was done RIGHT! -- the quilt measures 78" x 92", and was totally hand-pieced, hand-appliqued in nice blind stitching, and then hand-quilted in a generous flourishy pattern at 7-8 TEENY stitches per inch -- also has some detailed hand-embroidery stitching, as an extra! -- everything VERY well-executed -- VERY EXCELLENT vintage/pre-owned condition -- light wear/gentle usage, if any -- strong, sturdy, everything intact -- colors CRISP and VIBRANT -- mostly CLEAN, but does have some light surface soil and few small age spots/stains that probably occurred during storage -- everything is liftable with a gentle soak or a quick trip to the cleaners -- nothing else to report -- this is one SWEETHEART of a quilt! -- these old beauties are getting harder and harder to find -- this quilt would be PERFECT for country farmhouse or Victorian decors, laid across your bed, stacked in your quilt cabinet, or CELEBRATED by displaying on the wall as a great piece of TEXTILE ART! -- a true collector's piece....and the price is right!
