1953 Gibson J - 50 (Natural Finish J45) Vintage Acoustic Guitar W/ Case

Well worn and loved 1953 Gibson J50. Serial number beginning with Y and 19 frets identifies it as a 53'. Action plays great as seen in pictures. Neck is 1 11/16" wide. Nice deep bass. There are a few repaired cracks typical of a 60+ year old guitar with cleats. The crack on the back as seen in the picture has been repaired. On the top near the pickguard is a crude crack repair with visible glue. Only one hairline crack has not been repaired on the back, however it has been stable. Oddl...y, some prior owner removed the finish and logo on the headstock. Tuners are Kluson's from the 60s. The far bottom back brace has lifted on one side and will need re-glued eventually. The pickguard is warped and lifting a little, I'd replace it at some point as well. There is slight bellying behind the bridge which seems typical with these old guitars, but does not affect action. There is a heel strap pin installed (not sure if that is original). Original saddle included but I replaced it with a non-original bone saddle, as well as the pins. Although this guitar has excellent low action and plays great (no buzzing at all), it will need some work to get it to 100%. Includes brand new Gibson hardshell archtop case.
