1950's Camp Big Heart Patch - 2 7/8" (used measurements) round design. Red cut-edged border with white twill background. The design features the blue outline of a flying Osprey with fish in talons and flying just above water within an inner red circular border. Blue camp name "Camp Big Heart" at bottom and council name "Gulf Coast Council" across top. (Camp History: In the 1920's Camp Big Heart was establish on the Navy's Live Oak R...eservation near Santa Rosa Sound in Pensacola Bay. One web page claims Camp Big Heart is the nation's 1st boy scout summer camp. The camp was closed in 1971 when the Gulf Islands National Seashore was established.) Cloth with gauze backing.
