Original souvenir/commemorative trivet from the Texas Cavaliers, cast brass construction with three feet on underside. Motto ANTONIO XXXII/TEXAS CAVALIERS with date 1954 on front, Alamo Iron Works logo and J H SAVAGE in raised letters on underside. Measures 7 3/4 x 5 7/8 inches. Average tarnish from age but undamaged and will clean much better if desired.The Texas Cavaliers was originally a social club founded in 1926 and has grown to become one of... the largest charitable organizations in San Antonio, composed of over 500 leaders in local business, civic, and community areas. J.H. Savage was proclaimed King Antonio XXXII in 1954 and the trivet was made to commemorate his "reign".
