This is near Mint Condition Never Been PlayedHOFNER 500/1 62 Reissue BEATLE BASS GUITAR..Recreating the style of the 1962 version, to give deep-resonating bass sounds like the original Hofner Beatles bass. With a short scale and the small violin bass body it is one of greatest electric bass guitars everThe authenticity of this model has to be applauded. The neck proportions are comfortably meaty and quite deep, and although the body and headstock are edge-bound, the fr...etboard remains un-bound.The tuners are ganged in pairs, sharing the same metal base strip, and only one strap button is included at the tail end (and that's made of plastic). In the early days of The Beatles, McCartney had his strap looped around the headstock, and later under the fretboard, but most players just fit an extra button at the heel of the neck. The nut is also the same as ever and has a black stripe running through it, while the fretboard is fitted with a zero fret to ensure consistent string height.

They are marked as a 2nd by the manufacturer when they fail to pass final inspection. They usually have a minor cosmetic finishing flaw that prevents them from being sold as new instruments. These instruments do not have major flaws (UNLESS STATED). These blemishes do not affect the play ability of the instruments at all. Apart from the defect listed they are perfect, all the electronics, pickups, tuners, neck and frets etc. are good. I buy my guitars and basses directly from the manufacturer. Each instrument gets set up and checked by me before it is released for sale. Some of the models are discontinued and have no issues at all.
