Hello there. Where did I get this? To start, my father, Dave Butler, who lived in Milwaukee, was a very longtime film collector and was a long-long time cartoon historian/collector as well. He had a company called Bosko Video and released some vintage cartoons and such on VHS and DVD in the 1980's into the 2000's. I own the film collection now and I myself do not have a working 35mm projector, so all the films are being sold as is. I DO inspect every film for damage, bad colo...r, splices, completeness, etc. I do not own any film with any vinegar issues. I will have more 35mm film listed in a few weeks.
Here we have a Tex Avery MGM cartoon on 35mm film. It's 'Rock-A-Bye Bear' from 1952. Film is on a 3" plastic film core and is on Fuji stock. Looks like it was made using an Eastman negative. Film looks to be in nice condition and cartoon appears complete with MGM logo, titles, credits and at the end, 'THE END'. I did not see any splices within the body of the cartoon(there may be splices present, but I did look thru the entire film and did not see any except for 1 where the leader meets the opening logos). Please see photos for color, condition, etc.
This 35mm film is heavy(with packaging, around 4 pounds) and does not qualify for media mail rates. Cheapest option for shipping is a medium flat rate Priority Mail box which is $13.65. Please ask any ? before bidding. ALL NON USA bidders must use ebay's global shipping program to ensure tracking, delivery and current customs obligations. Items using this method must be paid for and shipped separately. This will be expensive to ship outside of the USA.
