The Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini! Who could forget this cute little bit of nonsense if you were around while it was on the charts? Sales of bikinis in yellow polka dots were boosted for years after. And the Bikini went to France and became the Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Tout Petit Petit Bikini. The polka dots became petits pois. For the lyrics in French with the music, go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVz6FLydpCU ; ...;This print, like most of les Scopitones français, has gone pretty rouge, though it actually looks a little better than my camera recorded it-- there's still some green in the mix. Not having access to a magnetic sound projector at the moment, I can't vouch for the audio track, but chances are it's acceptable. This came with the picture/sound grading C-/B, which was doubtless noted quite some years ago. The first few feet are pretty ripply, which soon passes. Noted one repair splice near the end, without frame loss. A bit of cleaning and conditioning wouldn't hurt. Note to anyone running Scopitones in a conventional projector for the first time: these come tails-out, so you'll need to rewind onto another reel before screening. Lots more Scopitones coming up!
