" MOSS ROSE " (1947) - VICTOR MATURE - PEGGY CUMMINS - ETHEL BARRYMORE
Item History & Price
Directed by Gregory Ratoff (formerly an omnipresent actor in many Fox films of the 1930s), the film was given top production values including a musical score by Alfred Newman. It has a 6.7 rating on IMDb.
This is an original black and white print with "t.v. contrast" (printed lighter because of the many moody, dark scenes that wouldn't show up well on television). There is minor wear in places, maybe 10 splices overall and there are no t.v. cues. It looks like there was some light negative scratching on the left side of the frame (you can see it in grab #8 and #10). There is a variable density soundtrack. The image is better than what my screen grabs show.
The film is complete at 82 minutes on two metal reels with original leaders. There is a fade-in at the beginning but for some reason the original end title was cut at the fade out of the film and a silent end title put in its place which fades in and fades out. There is no warping or vinegar odor.
